1. The Tool

Equalook (the «Tool» below) is a free tool that lets you start from a screenshot, a page measured with the bookmarklet, or a template, build a screen, and download it as an HTML file. Anyone can use it in a browser without signup or installation.

The «Equalook Measure» bookmarklet and extension work in desktop Chrome and Edge. In other browsers, please add a screenshot. The Tool does not open sites outside your browser on your behalf.

The service is currently in trial operation. Features and screens may change or pause temporarily without notice.

2. Rights to what you add

It is up to you to confirm that you have the right to use the screenshots, bookmarklet-measured pages, text and photos you add to the Tool. Complying with the terms of the sites where you click the bookmarklet or extension is also your responsibility. The Tool measures only a screen's structure and numbers (position · size · count · spacing · color), and does not carry over text, logos or photos on other people's screens. However, the «My Site» feature moves a site's text and photos into the Tool, within your browser, only when you confirm in the Tool that the site where you clicked the bookmarklet is your own or that you have the right to use its text and photos. If that confirmation is untrue, the user who confirmed it is responsible. Fonts of the measured screen are not used and are replaced with system fonts. The user who put others' works or trademarks into a downloaded file is responsible for them. The Tool is meant for referencing structure, not for copying other sites as they are, and you are also responsible for not publishing a screen so similar to someone else's site that it could be confused with it.

3. Downloaded files

You may freely use, modify and distribute the HTML files the Tool creates for personal or commercial purposes. The code of files downloaded with the free version shows the source (Equalook). It is not visible on screen. Open-source parts in the file follow the conditions stated in the open-source notice.

4. Copyright

Copyright in the code, screen design, images and text of this site and the Tool belongs to the operator. Without the operator's permission, it is prohibited to copy or adapt the code, screen design, images or text of this site or the Tool and post, distribute or sell them elsewhere, or to use them to open the same service.

This prohibition does not apply to the downloaded files in Section 3. Open-source parts follow the conditions stated in the open-source notice.

5. Support

Support is a voluntary contribution with nothing in return. Supporting does not unlock any features or benefits, and you can use all features the same way without supporting. Payment and cancellation of support follow the policy of the platform that received it.

6. Ads

To keep the Tool free, ads may appear on both sides of some pages. Ad content is decided by the ad provider, and any transaction at a place you reach by clicking an ad is between that party and you.

7. Prohibited

8. Warranty and liability

The Tool is provided free and as is, without any warranty that results will match the original or suit a particular purpose. The operator is not liable for damages arising from using the Tool, except for damages caused by the operator's intent or gross negligence.

9. Changes · suspension

The operator may change the Tool and these Terms or suspend the service. When the Terms change, a notice is posted on this page 7 days before they take effect.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are handled by the court determined under the Civil Procedure Act.
