Covered pages are turned into images, so their whole text layer is gone. Safest, but those pages can't be searched or copied and the file gets bigger.

PDF only. Remove hidden info leaves the text and images on PDF pages alone — HEIC photos and video are out of scope. Black-out works up to 60 pages, and locked (encrypted) PDFs can't be opened. The blacked-out copy is a newly built PDF, so bookmarks, attachments, form fields and JavaScript are left out, and comments on covered pages too.

The engines (pdf-lib · pdf.js) load from this site, and your file and results are not stored anywhere.
