First-digit check
Table files only (CSV · TSV · text) — Excel files (xlsx) are not taken. Tables open up to 200MB — only cells written like 1,234 or -1,200.50 are read as numbers; IDs with a leading zero and numbers longer than 15 digits stay text. In the saved CSV, text cells starting with = + - @ get a leading ' so spreadsheets do not run them as formulas. The first-digit check picks the columns that hold numbers by itself and measures the first-digit (1–9) distribution — it runs the first-digit chi-square test only; MAD fit and first-two-digit tests are not there yet. Under 20 first digits it does not judge.
The engines (SQLite · first-digit check) load from this site, and your file and results are not stored anywhere.
